Ben SImmons Can Reportedly Shoot Three-Pointers Now

maximios September 22, 2023 Sport

The 2016 first overall pick Ben Simmons is one of the most gifted young players in the league now. Last season he averaged 16.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 7.7 assists. He is a 6-foot-10 point guard which makes him difficult to defend. Before he was drafted, many believed that he is the next big thing to come to the league since LeBron James. He almost has a complete game from both ends of the floor. The only flaw in his game is his shooting range. He can’t shoot three-pointers. He didn’t even try last season. Simmons never made a three-point field goal since he steps foot on the league. Will we see Ben Simmons shooting Three-pointers next season?

Ben Simmons Can Shoot Three-Pointers Now

However, looks like Ben Simmons is working on it now this offseason. Simmons knows that he needs to improve himself. He needs to adjust to the league. Today’s NBA is more on shooting three-pointers so he needs to develop that. And according to Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris, Simmons is actually making progress. Both Simmons and Harris went to Los Angeles to work out together and Harris was amazed by the improvement.

In an interview from a Sixers reporter, Harris describes how Simmons can shoot threes now. He said that they were playing 1-on-1 games and then he dared Simmons to shoot the three. Simmons responded and made two in a row so Harris had to adjust his defense on Simmons. Harris said that people were trying to figure out why he was guarding Simmons against the three-point line. But it was really because he hits two of them from the three-point line. Harris believes that Simmons jump shots are looking better and his confidence is already there.

If Simmons really developed his three-point shots, he will be a major threat in the league. Simmons is already a superstar even without the three-point shot. He’s already a versatile player and the only missing piece in his game is the three-pointer. Having the shooting range would level up his game big time and help the Sixers achieve better results next season.

If Ben Simmons can hit a three, he will be unstoppable in 2K next year…
